King Arthur

King Arthur is the son of King Uther Pendragon and Lady Igraine. Since Arthur was a boy, he was given to Merlin by his father so her mother never saw him grew up. Arthur was given to Merlin to get Merlin’s teachings.

Legend says Arthur became a king when he pulled out a sword from a stone in London which written on it: ”Who can pull out this sword from the stone is rightwise the king of all England”. When Arthur pulled out the sword from the stone, he didn’t realize it. But then the people realize that Arthur is the rightful king of all England.

When he pulled out the stone, Arthur was accompanied by Merlin but Arthur regrets because he didn’t have his own sword and there isn’t any king who didn’t have any sword. Merlin takes Arthur to a lake where he saw an arm of a woman which covered by white silk jointed with gold and silver string from the lake holding a sword.Arthur saw one more lady walking on the lake to them. When Arthur asks Merlin, who is the lady, Merlin answered that the lady is Nimue, The Lady of The Lake. Merlin says that Nimue will give Arthur a sword because it is his sword. Arthur asks her politely and asks can he get the sword on the lake. Nimue agree and tells Arthur that the sword has a name and the name is Excalibur. Arthur is taken to a boat where he can row the boat to the sword on the lake. Arthur grab the sword which have a golden edge with diamond on it. When Arthur holds the sword, the hand which was holding the sword slip back to the bottom of the lake.

When Merlin asks Arthur, he asks which part is Arthur like the most. Arthur says he likes the best of a sword. Merlin says that Arthur has chosen the wisest choice and the edge will protects him from the danger in the battlefield. But in exchange, Arthur must keep the edge carefully.
Merlin tells Arthur a vision that the edge of the sword will stealed by his step-brother the wizard Morgan le Fay who throw the edge to the lake when chased by Arthur and his knights. He will give himself and turn the knights into stones to avoid being captured. But the missing of the edge seals the fate of Arthur.

When Arthur be a king, he expands his kingdom into Ireland, Wales, and Scotland in his campaign. Then he married with Lady Guinevere and build a fortress called the Camelot and the knights of round table. After years of success in his kingdom and prosper, Merlin warn Arthur about an incoming danger. When Arthur uniting his kingdom with Lot, the king of Orkney, Arthur marries Margawse who was the wife of Lot and has born a child. The name of the child is Mordred. Merlin says to Arthur that he has made a terrible mistake but it’s too late. Because Mordred has born and grow. Merlin says that Mordred will bring a war and will kill Arthur when he tries to get Arthur’s throne.

Arthur trains himself with his sword to prepare himself to the war. Even Arthur know the war, he don’t know when the war begin and keep the secret from Mordred.

When Mordred become a man, he wants his father throne. He force Arthur to give his throne earlier than Arthur’s thought. But Arthur refuse. Mordred begin to prepare an army to fight his own father. Arthur knows that Mordred will fight against him so he also prepare his army.

Some days later, outside the Camelot fortress Arthur face Mordred in the war. Arthur nearly killed by Mordred but Mordred is dead. Arthur calls Sir Bedivere his most loyal knight. Arthur tells Bedivere to throw the sword to the lake and tell him what Bedivere see. Bedivere take his sword but he only put it under a tree near the lake. He say that he didn’t see anything ecept the water of the lake. Arthur order Bedivere to do his command to throw the sword into the lake. Bedivere nearly throw the Excalibur to the lake but he cancel his action because the value of the sword. When he tells Arthur what he saw, Arthur become angry and orders Bedivere to do his command for the last time. Bedivere throw the Excalibur to the lake and see an arm of a woman grabs the sword and shake it 3 times before take it to the bottom of the lake. He tells Arthur his sight. Arthur asks Bedivere to bring him to the lake where Bedivere throw the sword. At the lake they saw a boat approach them. Aboard the boat there are ladies who manage the boat one of them is Nimue. Arthur carried to the boat and sails to the Avalon Island where he can rest and cure his wound. As everyone cries Bedivere watch Arthur go with confused.

People said that Arthur still exist and will come back when his country attacked or when his country needs him.
